Happy New Year to you and Happy 1 Year Blogiversary to your’s truly! Join me in waving goodbye to 2016 and welcoming 2017 with open arms. If you are hoping to hear some mushy mess about it being a “New Year, New You” then you have come to the wrong blog. BUT if you are all about that “New Year, New Places” life, well than stick around, faithful follower! Because here at The Rooted Gypsy, you never know where we may end up or what we may get ourselves into!

This past year has provided some pretty awesome memories:

Runner's Dancing in Church Point Chicken Run

We celebrated in Louisiana’s oldest rural Mardi Gras tradition in Church Point, La

Tabasco Factory

Kicked it up a notch on Avery Island, Louisiana

Floating The Guadalupe River

Relished a weekend of tubes and tunes in New Braunsfel, Texas

Chicks

Started our own mini-dino flock

Shopping the Farmer's Market

Ate like locals at Rhode Island You-Pick Farms

I can’t wait to see what 2017 has up it’s sleeve! What do we have planned? Guess you’ll have to hang around and a find out 😉

I would LOVE to hear what new places you plan of seeing (or dreaming of) this year! Leave me a comment and tell me all about it!

I live in sulphur. In next couple of weeks I will be re-bedding my strawberries. They’re ozark beauty and another ever bearing type. I do not want to toss extras and there will be quite a few. Would you be interested or know someone who might want some. I’ll plant in “flats” so they’ll be ok for a bit.
